Reading history
One point per day, each of them the 30-day window ending that day. A day with no snapshot is a gap in the line, never a line drawn through it.
History starts when seven daily snapshots exist with a reading.
Daily snapshots with a reading so far: 0. A snapshot is written once a day and carries a reading only once the subject has ten counted ballots in the window.

A quarantined or excluded ballot is recorded and not counted, and nothing is ever deleted: releasing one makes it count again. The excluded figure is site-wide because the exclusion list stores a ballot id, a reason and a date, and not a subject, so a per-subject figure would be a guess. How exclusions work.

What would make you leave one, and where did you sign up? | Half of consumers say that retail, food and other loyalty programs are more important than ever. More than half of loyalty program members (52%) say they'd leave the program if the rewards weren't worth it. But only 41% say a data breach would cause them to end their membership. 50% of loyalty program members say they signed up at the checkout counter, while 61% enrolled via brand websites; women showed higher in-person registration rates at 57%, compared to 42% of men. |

Why people split
The reason loyalty cards multiplied when they did has little to do with rewarding regulars. Advertising had been built on third-party cookies, which follow a person across unrelated websites; as browsers began phasing those out over privacy objections, brands needed another way to know who their customers are. First-party data (information a brand collects with direct consent through its own interactions) became the replacement, and a loyalty programme is the cleanest instrument for gathering it, because the customer volunteers an identity and a purchase history in exchange for a discount. YouGov's own write-up presents programmes explicitly as a solution to the privacy climate, which is also precisely the suspicion that makes a large share of shoppers uneasy about them. The measured attitudes sit right on that fault line. Half of consumers say loyalty programmes matter more than ever, and 53% say membership makes them feel more emotionally connected to a brand, up from 46% two years earlier. But 52% say they would quit a programme whose rewards stopped being worth it, while only 41% say a data breach would make them leave. That suggests most members have already priced the data in.
