Reading history
One point per day, each of them the 30-day window ending that day. A day with no snapshot is a gap in the line, never a line drawn through it.
History starts when seven daily snapshots exist with a reading.
Daily snapshots with a reading so far: 0. A snapshot is written once a day and carries a reading only once the subject has ten counted ballots in the window.

A quarantined or excluded ballot is recorded and not counted, and nothing is ever deleted: releasing one makes it count again. The excluded figure is site-wide because the exclusion list stores a ballot id, a reason and a date, and not a subject, so a per-subject figure would be a guess. How exclusions work.

Why people split
Enthusiasm for an automated strike zone has fallen as it has come closer to being real. The Seton Hall Sports Poll has put the same statement to Americans three times: in March 2025, 34% of the public and 47% of MLB fans said they were looking forward to the Automated Ball-Strike system; by October 2025 that had slipped to 28% and 45%; by March 2026 it was 22% and 42%. Seton Hall's own reading is that the novelty of the forthcoming system is wearing off. The second thing the numbers show is that this argument runs the opposite way to most technology arguments. The people who watch the most baseball are roughly twice as keen on the machine as the general public, not half as keen. That is why headline figures from general-population polls, like Quinnipiac's 25% support, read much colder than fan sentiment does.
