Reading history
One point per day, each of them the 30-day window ending that day. A day with no snapshot is a gap in the line, never a line drawn through it.
History starts when seven daily snapshots exist with a reading.
Daily snapshots with a reading so far: 0. A snapshot is written once a day and carries a reading only once the subject has ten counted ballots in the window.

A quarantined or excluded ballot is recorded and not counted, and nothing is ever deleted: releasing one makes it count again. The excluded figure is site-wide because the exclusion list stores a ballot id, a reason and a date, and not a subject, so a per-subject figure would be a guess. How exclusions work.

For the following set of questions, when we refer to a work happy hour we mean 'a formal/informal event that one attends with colleagues for specials on drinks and food after work at a bar or restaurant.' How often, if at all, do you attend work happy hours at a restaurant or bar? [Base: All US adults who are employed] | Every time 4%, Often 8%, Sometimes 17%, Rarely 23%, Never 46%, Don't know 3% |

The rows above are rolling 30-day counts only in the final row. Every other row is a one-shot measurement by its publisher, on its own question, with its own method. They are placed together so they can be compared, not because they are comparable.
Why people split
The office happy hour splits close to down the middle, and the halves are drawn largely by age. YouGov's 2017 survey of employed Americans found 46% never attend one, against 4% who go every time, 8% often, 17% sometimes and 23% rarely. Among employed millennials, 62% had attended at least once, compared with 52% of employed adults overall, and men were more likely than women to attend at least sometimes, 33% to 22%. The reasons attendees give are not mostly about alcohol: 45% said it is a chance to get to know colleagues better, 33% a way to relax with work friends, 26% networking and 23% cheap food and drink. The sharper disagreement is about what happens when a colleague drinks too much. Among those aged 55 and over, 50% said they would judge that colleague negatively; among millennials only 19% would. That is the real fault line: whether the event is social time where ordinary rules apply, or work time where professional judgement continues after the first round.
